The Bavarian Village of Leavenworth, located in the central Washington and surrounded by Swiss-like scenery has a lot to offer to visitors with different kinds of preferences (skiing, bicycling, fishing, rafting, arts, wine tasting, dining,…). For climbers it is a great place destination for trad climbing and bouldering.

There are thousands of granite boulders spreaded along the scenic Highway 2 or secretly hidden in surrounding forests that can satisfy even the pickiest climbers. The options do not end with already established problems of all difficulties with crimps, slopers, jugs, cracks, or huecos. That is just the beginning. Did I mention the angle? Well: slabs, vertical, steep, steeper, roofs,…you name it.

This guidebook covers the Swiftwater Boulders and the Mad Meadows.
